1. There are several elements that a good product diagram needs:
Clean background
📸 The background of your product shots must be clean and concise. Whether you’re using a solid or scenic background, it’s important that it’s free of clutter.
For example, white or light-coloured tables, walls, PVC background paper and still tables can all help you achieve a clean and concise background effect. Before shooting your product photos, make sure to check that your background is clean and tidy.
With Booltool’s AI Background Remover function, you can easily achieve this effect. 🚀🌟

Shooting angle
Front shooting
The shooting angle is 0 degrees, which is very suitable for showing the side and cross section of the product, providing the overall effect space and layering sense.

Bevel shooting
Bevel shooting can show the top and side of the shooting product at the same time. 45 degrees is the most common, 30 degrees and 60 degrees are also fine. Bevel shooting is close to the viewing angle, which is more immersive. You can add the foreground to increase the space sense and atmosphere. When shooting, the lens is aimed at part of the product, and the background should be blurred.

High angle shooting
The shooting angle is 90 degrees, showing only the top surface of the product. When shooting a complex multi-subject on the top surface, it can show the global picture of the product, giving a greater visual impact.

Set decoration
Starting from the product itself, build its use scene. Use the background with a similar color and some natural scenes to set off the product and make the picture vivid.

After using Booltool’s AI Background Remover function to remove the background, you can try AI-generated backgrounds that match the product style.
Light source
When considering the light source for product shooting, you can choose two light sources: hard light and soft light.
- Hard light: is a point-like light source, just like sunlight, flashlights, stage spotlights, etc. The characteristic of hard light is that it can illuminate the local part of the product very brightly, and the outline is clear, the shadow is thick, there is a strong contrast between light and shade, and the three-dimensional sense is strong.
- Soft light: is also called scattered light, just like the sunlight on a cloudy day or cloudy weather. Soft light can show the local details of the product very brightly, with rich layers, and the resulting shadows are relatively soft, the outline is not particularly fresh, and the contrast is comparatively small.

Shooting
Please shoot high-definition pictures as much as possible, leaving more space for post-production.
When shooting, the main light and auxiliary light should be arranged, and the lighting should be scientifically in line with the characteristics of the product. If you don't want to make the photo look too flat, try not to put the shooting angle on the same line as the light source. That is, please don't shoot along the light. Pay attention to the focal length when shooting. Please don't shoot too distorted, and ensure the true feeling of the product.
